Free Word Processor Software for Windows Linux Google Android

I have mostly been using free word processors software for typing documents like essays, articles, letters, resumes, and book reports for a few years now. I mainly use free word processors to save money, and time by not needing to go to a store to buy an Office suite program. Plus, free word processors work great for my needs because they have most of the features I use like bold, underline, italics text, insert picture, fonts, paragraph formatting, inserting charts, links, and diagrams into my document files, spellcheck, and auto-save.

I also think using a free word processing software like LibreOffice is safer and more reliable than using an outdated version of a paid office suite which may have security vulnerabilities which are no longer being fixed because the paid word processor maker is no longer supporting their older Word Processing software because it is too old.

I have used OpenOffice Writer, LibreOffice Writer, Focus Writer, and Kingsoft Office Free for typing up my homework for English, Biology and other classes which require me to type out homework.

There are some Word Processors like WordGraph, Jarte, FocusWriter, and AbleWord which uses very little system resources like RAM, and CPU cycles, so you can even run them on very old computer which are not as fast as modern computers with more RAM, and a faster CPU.

I find most of the free office suites to work well on Windows, and Linux on my PC. A lot of Word Processors now also have a Google Android version like Kingsoft Office, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Polaris Office. In the future, I think most word processors even Word Processors made by smaller companies will have a version for Google Android because Android is one of the most used operating systems now. lightweight video player for Google Android

I notice sometimes video pauses or freezes when watching some video files on Instagram, and possibly other websites which uses the same video file types and video player as Instagram. I only get freezing problems when viewing some Instagram videos on my Acer C720 Google Chromebook, and Asus Chromebox computer with an Intel Celeron 2995U(Acer) and 2955U(Asus) CPU and integrated Intel HD graphics.

After I hit the play button on some Instagram videos on Instagram.com when using Chrome, the video plays for 1 second or less, and freezes. I also hear 1 second of audio sometimes. The play button also seems unresponsive after the first click. It does not happen with all videos on Instagram, and just a few videos.

But, video freezing and pausing problem on Instagram does not affect Google Chrome installed on my Google Android tablets, the Instagram App for Android. My regular desktop computer with Windows 10 and Lubuntu Linux installed on my Desktop computer with an Intel Core2Dou 1.86 GHz CPU, 3 GB RAM and a Nvidia GT 620 PCI-Express video card can play all Instagram videos smoothly without lag, slowdown or pausing problems.

If you experience Google Chrome video playback problems, Installing the latest version of  Google Chrome on your PC, and the newest version of your video card drivers from your video card video chip maker like Nvidia, AMD, and Intel HD for Windows, Linux, and Mac Operating system may help with video playback performance, and pausing problems if you experience any on Chrome web browser for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Installing all your latest operating system updates for your OS can fix video playback problems on your PC. Hopefully, future versions of Chrome OS will fix this video pause problem, or Instagram will convert video files which freeze during playback on Chrome OS devices like the Acer C720 Chromebook and Asus Chromebox computers.

In my experience, Instagram video freezes on Chrome only affects my Acer C720 Chromebook and Asus Chromebox which both use a similar Intel Celeron CPU, and Intel HD integrated graphics. Some Windows laptops and slower desktops which uses the same type of CPU and  integrated Intel HD graphics chips may also have this video pausing problem on Instagram and other video websites. But, I think this problem mostly occurs with Chrome OS devices. It also only happens with certain video file formats which are uploaded to Instagram, and the video is encoded in a file format and playback bitrate quality which causes the video to freeze when played in Chrome. When I use a video downloader web browser add-on/extension to download the video from Instagram, the video also freezes when played with the default video player in Chrome OS and VLC for Chrome. Most videos in Instagram play normally on Instagram while a few video files don’t play, or freeze after a second of playback. The video which are affected by pausing problems also does not loop forever like regular Instagram videos which play properly. For some reason, Instagram videos uploaded from users from Asian countries like South Korea seems to upload the most videos which occasionally freeze when playing back in Instagram on the Google Chrome web browser on my Intel Celeron Chromebook and Chromebox computers. Some tablets like the Nvidia Shield K1 tablet have a mini-HDMI port which is for connecting a mini-HDMI cable to a TV with a full size HDMI port on the TV. Mini-HDMI video port are found on some smartphones, mini computers, Android and Windows tablets, and digital video cameras, so you can use one cable to show videos from many types of video devices. The connection is also faster on a mini-HDMI cable than using wireless connections to send video to a TV, and you don’t need to rely on wi-fi or the internet to show video on a TV.

I used a mini-HDMI cable like AmazonBasics High-Speed Mini-HDMI to HDMI 9.8 feet/3 meter Cable to connect my Nvidia Shield Tablet to  a TV with a HDMI video port. You don’t need to buy a very expensive high quality mini-HDMI cable to use on the Nvidia Shield Tablet to connect it to a TV. I used a older short mini-HDMI cable which I got bundled from a digital camcorder which I bought many years a go. The mini-HDMI cable works great at connecting my TV to the Shield tablet.  A higher quality mini-HDMI cable, so it could be worth it to spend an extra few dollars on a higher quality video cable. higher quality cables are also longer in length. Higher quality mini-HDMI usually look better which may be important if you care how your cables look, and don’t want regular looking black cables.  The warranties on higher quality video cables are usually longer, and they sometimes even have lifetime hardware warranties.
