Charge Battery Faster in Google Android
Sometimes when I use Google Android Battery settings app it saids it will take 6-8 hours to charge in the battery section of the battery section. But, other times when my tablet is not doing anything, the Battery settings app in Google Android, says it will take under 2 hours or less to charge when my battery only has 15% charge or less.

There are some simple tasks I can do to make Google Android charge faster. The first thing I do is exit all my apps which I no longer need to use, and also force stop running apps like games, web browsers, and system utility apps which I can’t close, and startup automatically when my tablet is turned ON.

Using Google Android settings to turn off Data, Bluetooth, Wifi, NFC, lowering your sound volume, locking the screen orientation to portrait or landscape, and lowering the brightness of your screen would make your phone use less power which can speed up charging.

Turning off notifications in Google Android notification settings, or notifications on Individual apps in the App info page may save some power.

Turning on Airplane mode which turns off your wifi, data, and other features would also make your phone or tablet charge faster because it is using less data.

Force stopping/closing Apps is not very hard to do. I just need to open my settings app in Google Android, and go to the App section. In the App section, there is a running section which show you the apps which are running, and cached running processes when you hit on a button. It is usually safe to force close apps which are games, web browsers, and system utility apps and services. To force stop a running app, go to the downloaded section of Apps in Android settings, and look for the app you want to force stop, and tap on the app title of the app which you want to force stop on the list which is organized in alphabetical order. In the App info page for the app you want to force stop, tap on the force stop button, and tap the OK button on the pop-up Window warning you that an app may misbehave if force closed. The Raspberry Pi 2 Model B with a 900MHz Quad Core CPU, VideoCore IV 3D graphics core and 1 GB RAM is one of the most affordable $35 desktop computers in the world which is good to use as an affordable everyday desktop PC which has good performance for the extremely low price, and power usage. It is also easy to replace and upgrade parts, and accessories like the Pi 2’s MicroSD Memory Card, Micro-USB power adapter, HDMI cable, monitor, speakers, USB wifi adapter, Ethernet wired networking cable, keyboard, mouse, Pi 2 case, and other parts, and accessories which work for the Pi 2. The easiness of replacing, upgrading, and removing parts and accessories for the Pi would make it very affordable to fix since when a part like the Micro SD card breaks, you can just buy a new one to replace the broken SD card, and other parts like mouse, keyboard, mouse, and usb wifi adapters can be bought for a few dollars online. The Raspberry Pi 2 is also inexpensive to replace when it breaks, and you can re-use your parts and accessories from your broken Pi 2 on your working Pi 2. The Raspberry Pi 2 also seems pretty durable when installed in a Pi 2 case because the Pi 2 has no moving parts since it uses MicroSD memory cards, and don’t need fan air cooling because it is unlikely to overheat since it does not get very hot when it is powered ON.

The Raspberry Pi 2 has faster performance than the original Pi which was released a few years a go because the Pi 2 has faster parts like a 900MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU, 1GB RAM, and VideoCore IV 3D graphics core. It is also possible to overclock the Pi to CPU to 1000 MHz, and 500MHz for the RAM, and video chip, so the Pi 2 runs faster. But, you may need to use a better Micro-USB power adapter rated at 2 Amps of current, and buy a small heatsink to stick on the Pi 2’s CPU chip on the circuit board, so the CPU runs cooler. Most programs like Web Browser, the Pi Store, Kodi media center, and office programs load pretty quickly in a few seconds, and rarely freezes. It also starts up in under a minute, and shutdowns in a few seconds. [continue reading…]

Avant Web Browser for Windows

Avant Browser is one of the best free tab web browsers for Windows based computers because it is very fast, stable, and has a lot of great features.

It’s user interface is easy to use because it has all the features like address bar, tabs, and navigation bar found on other web browsers. It is possible to change the skin/theme of Avant, so it looks like Internet Explorer with the classic menu bar on top of the web browser when you change the theme to “Windows Traditional” in the Skins selector which you can use by right clicking an empty spot on a toolbar in Avant, or by using the tools menu in Avant. Avant also comes with 24 nice looking skins/themes built-into the browser, so you could change the theme to a theme which looks best on your PC, and you like more. I like that it is possible to hide toolbars, buttons, and features which I do not use in Avant, so I have more screen space. I like that the tabs also has a status indicator to tell me when a website is done loading, so I can continue to be on one site while another tab is still loading.

Avant is designed to not freeze, use less RAM, and CPU resources, and work quickly most of the time. I used it for many years as my main web browser in Windows since Windows Vista/2007, and it works pretty well as a web browser for browsing the web, checking webmail, and more. It also uses very little RAM/Memory, and CPU resources even when I have many tabs opened in Avant which is installed on my Windows computer with 3GB of RAM, and a dual-core CPU. Opening up Avant, loading websites, scrolling up and down websites, switching tabs, and changing settings in Avant is very fast, and smooth in my experience. [continue reading…]
