PicsArt Photo Studio for Google Android is a free, simple, and feature rich image editor program for Google Android. It can also be used to create collages from multiple images, or to draw/paint a new image from a blank canvas, on a photo, or texture.
I found PicsArt pretty easy learn to use even though, I am not very good at using programs like Adobe Photoshp, Paint.net, and Gimp Image editor. I learned most of the basic features like crop, cut, add text, adjust brightness and contrast, clip art , etc related within a few minutes of using PicsArt. The user interface for PicsArt is very easy to use, and all the tools only require one or only a few taps to use them which makes using PicsArt on a touchscreen device like a smartphone or tablet very simple. I also found PicsArt to run very quickly, and it does not slow down or freeze my tablet when I use it to view, edit, and create pictures, or browse other people’s pictures on their social network which is built-in to the App.
I also like the colorful home screen which makes finding the Camera, Draw, Shop, and social networking features easier in PicsArt, and the dark user interface is easy to look at even in poorly lit rooms or dark places with not a lot of light like outdoors at night.
There are also a lot of common tools like crop, resize, cut, paste, rotate, text, bubble text, color adjustment, clipart, stickers, brushes, frames, borders, and many other tools which you find on image editors like Photoshop, Gimp, MS Paint, and Paint.net on Desktop computers. Using PicsArt is very simple even on a touchscreen tablet where I only use my fingers or a stylus pen. It was pretty easy for me to find the tools, brushes, and effects I want to use to improve the look of my photos. I can also very quickly add text with different fonts to create a Meme which are found on 4chan, Reddit, and Twitter.
Once I am done editing or creating my picture, I can save it to my mobile, or share it on PicsArt social network or by adding photos to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Picasa, Dropbox, Fouresquare, Tumblr, Blogger, WordPress and DeviantArt or send photos by SMS and email.
On PicsArt Social network, I can make friends with fellow members, browse their photos, save photos which were uploaded to the community, and search for people and photos on PicsArt’s social network.
There is also a online store to buy additional clip art, designs, and features in PicsArt. PicsArt also hold contests for the best user generated images created by PicsArt’s community.
I can also use PicsArt to take photos, and self-portraits/selfies with your camera on your phone or tablet. There are plenty of effects like stenciler, cartoonizer, sketcher, Orton, Lomo, vintage, cross process, HDR, fattal, pencil, Holgaart, watercolor, contours, comic, neon, gouache, old paper, pastel, red eye remover, Popart 2, smart blur, face fix, color splash, paper and more to change the look of your photos, and the camera app in PicsArt has burst mode, Timer, and other picture taking modes.
